Oh thank heaven? Not so fast! La Mesa fights 7-Eleven

LA MESA (CBS 8) - Many people in La Mesa are not thanking heaven for a new 7-Eleven. They are fighting it tooth and nail, saying it will only bring their neighborhood down with crime, trash and vagrants.

The new store is planned for Gateway Drive near Palm Avenue, just yards away from where a different 7-Eleven store shut down. Neighbors tell News 8 that store was robbed three times within a year.
