SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The love from any pet can make you feel better when you're sick. But it takes a special kind of dog to be an official hospital therapy dog.

In this News 8 video report, photojournalist Erik Swanson spent the day at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, where prospective therapy dogs are screened to see if they can make the cut.
