SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A local woman who claims she was inside a Las Vegas hotel room, when Prince Harry got naked, is now in a San Diego jail cell.
Carrie Reichert has a criminal history, which includes a felony warrant for her arrest.
The latest video posted online by Extra shows 40-year-old Carrie Reichert, partying poolside with Prince Harry earlier this month at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas. But it's what happened later that night that is grabbing tabloid headlines.
First, TMZ posted naked photos of Prince Harry taken during a game of strip billiards with several other women in his Las Vegas hotel suite.
The 40-year-old became the first to tell her story to a London tabloid, claiming she made out with Prince Harry during that naked party.
Later, when Reichert tried to board an Alaska Airlines flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at Lindbergh Field August 24, she was arrested on an outstanding felony bad check warrant from Mississippi.
Court records show in 2003 Reichert was accused of writing $21,000 in fraudulent checks. In 2004, the Mississippi arrest warrant was filed. She remained on the lam. Even though in 2011, she was arrested in the Gaslamp quarter for drunk driving with a 0.14 blood alcohol level.
Prince Harry's body guards in Las Vegas apparently did not do a background check on Reichert, who will now be extradited back to Harrison County, Mississippi to answer to check fraud charges.
She's being held without bail, waiting for deputies from Mississippi to come pick her up.
News 8 contacted Reichert's San Diego attorney. However, he declined to comment on the case and said he knew nothing about his client partying in Las Vegas with Prince Harry.
