No Coaster or Amtrak service available this weekend
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - No Coaster or Amtrak service will be available between San Diego and Oceanside this weekend to accommodate work on the rail line.
Amtrak will provide bus service between Oceanside and the Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego.
The Coaster will not provide buses running to and from the Padres games Saturday and Sunday, a spokesman said.
Regular train service is expected to resume by 5 a.m. Monday.
The first of four pedestrian underpasses is being built near Santa Fe Drive in Encinitas. The project also includes new traffic signals on Highway 101, which could be partly closed to accommodate the work. Parts of San Elijo Drive and Vulcan Avenue also may be closed.
