Dog surf-a-thon

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It was a dog day at the beach in Del Mar. Dogs from all over southern California headed to dog beach for the seventh annual Helen Woodward Animal Center Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon.

Event organizers were setting out to break two world records Sunday, one for the most dogs surfing one wave on different boards at the same time.

The other, the longest canine "hang twenty" surf ride.
