Brief lockdown at Lakeside school

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A Lakeside elementary school was placed on lockdown briefly Wednesday afternoon after reported sightings of a man with a gun in the area.

It happened at Lemon Crest Elementary in the 12000 block of Lemon Crest Drive.

The lockdown was lifted after officials determined there was no threat. Parents were being allowed to pick up their children from the elementary school early Wednesday afternoon.
