Search and rescue K-9 unit training to save lives

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - They can track down a missing person or find victims buried in an avalanche. The San Diego Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue K-9 team serves a very important role in our community.

Volunteers and dogs took part in a training exercise. In this News 8 video story, photojournalist Ann Marie Spaulding has a look at the drill from the dog's point of view.
