SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Police are searching for two suspects linked to a stabbing that took place at a college party near UCSD overnight.
Police say they received a call around 2:00 a.m. Thursday about a man in his early twenties who was involved in a fight with two other men in their twenties. When police arrived on scene, they say they found blood in the courtyard at the Regents La Jolla Apartments and later learned the victim suffered two stab wounds to the stomach.
Authorities say close to four people heard what was going on and only one person witnessed what happened.
"What we're trying to do is make contact with everybody that would have had a visual of the overall complex and trying to determine if we have any unidentified witnesses that can give us more information about the suspects," said Lt. Marshall White with the San Diego Police Department.
TThe victim, who was stabbed multiple times, was taken to Scripps La Jolla is going to recover. The motive for the attack was under investigation.
Police described one of the suspects as a bearded Hispanic man in his early 20s, around 5 feet 9, 180 pounds, last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
