SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It's a relatively new charity that provides beautiful cakes and treats for critically ill children and Saturday, one local boy got a taste of the happiness the charity is spreading.
The goal of the group, called "Icing Smiles," is to give families a temporary escape from worry, and help create positive memories during difficult times in the form of a delectable luxury most families hit with mounting medical bills can't afford.
Chef Charity is on the board of the national organization, "Icing Smiles," which is only 2 years old. They have thousands of bakers across the country granting wishes to families.
Chef Charity will be featured on upcoming episodes of "Cupcake Wars" and "Halloween Wars" on the Food Network.
