EL CAJON (CNS) - Police Sunday continued to investigate the death of a man in a motorcycle crash on West Main St. west of Interstate 8.
The crash was at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday. A westbound motorcyclist hit a curb at a high rate of speed and was thrown from his vehicle into a dirt embankment, police said.
He was taken to a hospital with a broken leg and internal injuries, but later died. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, said El Cajon Police Lt. R. Soulard.
Westbound traffic lanes on West Main Street were closed for more than two hours during the police investigation.
