SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Throngs of fans gathered at Sprinkles Cupcakes in La Jolla to get a chance to meet legendary skateboarder and San Diego native Tony Hawk.
It was all for Hawk's foundation, which helps create public skateboard parks in low-income communities.
All sales of Hawk's favorite cupcake -- the cinnamon sugar -- will be donated to the Tony Hawk Foundation.
"I like cinnamon sugar because it's not too sweet. It's a cupcake that's kind of a muffin cupcake," he said.
The Tony Hawk Foundation has been going for about 10 years. It's helped build 500 skate parks across the country, and donated over $4 million.
