Man hospitalized after fire in Bay Ho garage

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A garage goes up in flames, sending a man to the hospital Wednesday night.

The fire broke out in the garage below an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Ariane Drive in Bay Ho. Initially, firefighters had trouble getting into the structure.

The victim's mother lived in the apartment above the garage. Her home did have some smoke damage, but she was not hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The man's condition has not been released.
