Head-on crash sends family to hospital

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A family of three is hospitalized Friday morning, after a head-on crash with a suspected drunk driver in Ramona.

The crash happened Thursday night near the intersection of Ramona Oaks and San Vincente Road, when a pickup truck crossed the double yellow line and hit a car with a family.

A nine-year-old girl was airlifted with her mother to Rady Children's Hospital. Her father was airlifted to Sharp Memorial. The pickup driver was transported to Palomar Hospital.

DUI charges are pending. As of this report, the condition of the victims has not been released.
