Search for hit-and-run driver who dragged victim

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police Saturday sought a hit-and-run driver who struck a 19-year-old man overnight.

The accident in the 200 block of 29th St. was reported about 3:10 a.m., when a gray compact going west on Imperial Ave. turned right onto 29th St., San Diego police officer Frank Cali said.

The victim was dragged about a block, and the suspect vehicle hit a parked car, Cali said.

A friend of the injured man took him to a hospital, where he was treated for a fractured pelvis, broken ribs and serious internal injuries. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Anyone with more information as to the name of the suspect driver or the whereabouts of the car was asked to call San Diego traffic police at (858) 495-7800.
