SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Attorney General Eric Holder spoke to hundreds of law enforcement officials at the convention center Monday.
Holder appeared at the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual convention. He has attended the convention every year since he became attorney general and told the audience he understands the challenges law enforcement officers face on a daily basis.
"I'm here to personally thank you for all that you've done, but also to hear from you, to learn from you and to assure each of you that, so long as I lead the Department Of Justice, I will always have your back," Holder said.
Chief Lansdowne also attended Monday's speech. The conference wraps up on Wednesday.
