Suspected drunk driver crashes into a library

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A suspected drunk driver is behind bars Thursday morning after police say she drove her car into a Rancho Penasquitos library.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 13,000 block of Salmon River Road.

According to police, the woman veered across the southbound lanes and crashed into the library, leaving a gaping hole.

Witnesses say the driver was visibly intoxicated and tried to back out of the building before police arrived.
