Camp Pendleton-based Marine killed in Afghanistan

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Pentagon has released the name of a 31-year-old Camp Pendleton-based Marine that was killed during combat in Afghanistan this week.

Sgt. Camella M. Steedley of San Clemente died in Helmand Province on Wednesday according to the Department of Defense.

Steedley was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force. She was a married mother of four. Her husband is also in the military.

Military officials say her cause of death is under investigation.
