SD lifeguards save a woman trapped near the glider port

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego lifeguards come to the rescue of a woman trapped on the cliffs below the glider port in Torrey Pines.

Claudia a 46-year-old German tourist told News 8 that she was trying to get down to the beach and simply made a wrong turn.

The lifeguards used a rope and pulley system to get her back up to safety. She says that while it was a little scary, getting stuck on the cliff wasn't all bad:

"It was quite comfortable standing on the rocks. The view was mesmerizing. And I'm very embarrassed that so many wonderful people came to save my life."

No word if she will be issued a ticketed.
