Journalist Vanessa Bezic brings her versatility, experience and bilingual forecasting expertise to San Diego mornings and the News 8 meteorology team.

Prior to joining News 8, Vanessa honed her forecasting skills at AccuWeather in State College, Pennsylvania from 2010-2012, where she produced and reported bilingual forecasts, broadcasting worldwide. Vanessa also handled radio, web and mobile forecasts.

Vanessa's passion for storytelling and broadcast journalism led her to KMEX-TV in Los Angeles, CA as multi-media reporter/photographer/editor. She handled the 6pm weekday newscast reporting duties, including her special assignment segment, "Angel de la Justicia," and produced mini-documentaries for UnivisionLosAngeles.com.

Vanessa has previously worked at KSNT-TV, Topeka, KS as reporter/photographer/editor in 2008 and at KEYT-TV, Santa Barbara, CA as a field and assistant producer in 2007. She also handled field producing duties at WGN-TV in Chicago, IL in 2006.

Vanessa received her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism with a 2nd degree in Communication Studies at Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism. She was selected as one of 40 fellows to The Poynter Institute of Multimedia Journalism Fellowship, St. Petersburg, FL.

A native of Palos Verdes, CA, Vanessa is delighted to return to Southern California and make San Diego her home.
