Big rig crash mangles morning commute

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A busy freeway connector has reopened after a major accident that made a mess for nearly four hours Friday morning.

It happened westbound SR-52 and SR-163 around 2:30 Friday morning. The driver of a semi truck reportedly took a turn too fast and lost control on the wet roads.

Heavy equipment was called in to clear the tractor trailer and clean up about 100 gallons of diesel fuel that spilled.

The driver suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
