Kaplan College employees give back during serve-a-thon

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Employees from Kaplan College gave back to the community Friday as part of a nationwide "serve-a-thon."

Workers from the school's Vista campus spent the day at the San Diego Food Bank. Volunteers packed bags and boxes of food for distribution throughout the county.

The San Diego Food Bank distributes food to 350 charitable organizations every month.

Employees from Kaplan College's Vista and San Diego campuses also gave back by participating in a clean-up effort at Mission Beach.
