Woman fatally struck by car in La Jolla

LA JOLLA (CNS) - A 23-year-old woman crossing a street with a friend was fatally struck by a car in La Jolla Saturday.

The crash on the La Jolla Drive-Interstate 5 overpass happened at 1:24 a.m., San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

The victim, who was walking north, was struck by a westbound Toyota Corolla driven by a 22-year-old woman, he said.
