Car smashes into school stairwell

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Investigators are working to determine what caused a car crash at a local high school.

The car smashed into the school's concrete stairs while class was in session. It turns out the driver had a provisional license, and hit the accelerator instead of the brake.

There was an adult in the front passenger seat. Ambulances were called, but the driver and three passengers refused treatment.

Classes were not disrupted.
