ENCINITAS (CBS 8) - The idea is to give kids a way to deal with stress and pressure. But now after parent complaints, it's the Encinitas Union School District that's feeling it.
Some parents are upset over the district's decision to offer yoga to students as part of its physical education program, saying it teaches religious practices and is unconstitutional.
The district superintendent says most parents are fine with the classes, and changes have been made to take any religious elements.
