SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A body has been found inside an apartment that caught fire in City Heights early Wednesday morning.
Investigators discovered the badly charred body inside the front of a second story unit around 4:30 a.m. in the 4200 block of Wightman Street in City Heights.
A neighbor called 911 to report the fire and firefighters worked quickly to extinguish it.
Investigators say the body is so badly charred they can't tell the sex and they also don't know the cause of the fire as of this report.
One neighbor says she believes a woman lived in the apartment alone.
