A 14-year-old Chula Vista boy who fell off his skateboard and was struck by an SUV died in the hospital a short time later, the county coroner's office said Thursday.
A 14-year-old Chula Vista boy who fell off his skateboard and was struck by an SUV died in the hospital a short time later, the county coroner's office said Thursday.
SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Thursday, friends of a teen skateboarder mourned his tragic loss. He was hit and killed by a car Wednesday night.
14-year-old Justin Hertzberg was riding his skateboard downhill on Nacion Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, when he swerved to get out of the path of an oncoming car, flew off his board and was hit.
Thursday, students and teachers gathered at Hilltop High School in Chula Vista to remember him.
