Jaywalker struck by car suffers serious injuries

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 31-year-old woman struck by a car while jaywalking in Pacific Beach was seriously injured Saturday.

The woman was crossing Ingraham St. at Grand Ave. against a red light about 2 a.m. when she was hit by a Jaguar, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

The woman suffered a serious elbow fracture and head injury, Delimitros said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening. She was taken to a hospital.

SDPD's Traffic Division was investigating the crash, he said.
