EL CAJON (CNS) - Firefighters contained a vegetation fire that broke out Saturday near Gillespie Field in El Cajon, according to fire officials.
The fire was reported about 2:50 p.m. off the 1700 block of Reuben Fleet Dr., near Gillespie Way, according to a Heartland Fire & Rescue Dispatcher.
It was reported as contained at 3:44 p.m., the dispatcher said.
No one was injured and no structures were damaged, she said.
The 1800 block of Hacienda Drive temporarily was closed, according to El Cajon police.
