SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Thousands of movie fans are expected to rush over to the 13th Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival, which begins this Thursday in North Park, with a familiar voice.
"Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey" is the festival's opening night film on November 1st at the Birch North Park Theater. It's a rags-to-riches story about Arnel Pineda - the new lead singer of Journey, discovered off the streets of Manila through YouTube.
The Asian Film Festival is the largest showcase of Asian cinema on the west coast, and runs through November 9th at the Mission Valley Ultrastar, along with a few other locations.
