SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of stabbing a 52-year-old man with a knife during an argument over drugs in the East Village early Monday, police said.

The stabbing in the 700 block of Tenth Ave. was reported at 12:31 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford. The man suffered stab wounds to his hands, none of which were life-threatening, Stafford said in a statement.

The victim and the woman, who also suffered cuts to her hands during a struggle for control of the knife, were both taken to area hospitals, Stafford said.

After being treated at the hospital, the woman was booked into county jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Her name was not immediately released.
