Suspect robs Chase bank in Imperial Beach

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Authorities are searching for a man who robbed an Imperial Beach bank earlier Tuesday.

It happened around 11 a.m. at the Chase bank in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue.

The robber was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses when he walked up to a teller and presented a demand note. He also claimed to have a weapon.

He fled the bank on foot. No one was injured in the robbery.

Authorities haven't said how much money the man got away with.
