SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Students at SDSU got a chance Thursday to learn more about the candidates and propositions they will be voting on come Election Day.
A "Rock the Vote" event was held on campus. Some students also held a rally to speak out against budget cuts and fee increases. Today's event was designed to empower students.
"We invited a bunch of candidates and propositions and campaigns out here to inform students, talk directly to people who will be voting on Tuesday. So this is intended just get students interested. Keep the voting fresh in their minds. Hopefully, they'll have a good turnout when it comes on Tuesday," Associated Students Vice President of External Affairs Tom Rivera said.
More Election Day events will be held at SDSU leading up to Tuesday.
