Rancho Coastal Humane Society is hosts a free Pet Food Bank two Saturdays a month. Click on the link to learn more.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Pet owners who have fallen on tough economical times are getting some help from the Rancho Coastal Humane Society, which is doing what it can to make sure San Diegans have what they need to take good care of their pets.

Saturday, the Humane Society opened its community pet food bank in Encinitas.

Anyone struggling to feed their pets, regardless of their situation, is invited to take advantage of free pet food, supplies, as well as exams and vaccines.

The community pet food bank will be open two Saturdays per month.
