Bob Filner on the race, the job and the mudslinging

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - It seems like every time you turn on the television there's another negative campaign ad.

And a lot of them are aimed at Carl DeMaio and Bob Filner.

During his run, Bob Filner has received endorsements from five sitting city council members.

He's also garnered financial support from several labor unions, which represent teachers, firefighters, machinists, plumbers and hotel workers.

Political pundits say the race is going to be close.

News 8's Phil Blauer sat down with Congressman Bob Filner and has more in this video report.
