Posted: Updated:

NATIONAL CITY (CBS 8) - Police are asking for the public's help in catching several thieves who stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from a local Macy's department store.

It happened at Plaza Bonita at about 8 p.m. Wednesday. According to investigators, three Latino or Asian men in their early 20s entered the store and ran off with about $5,000 worth of merchandise from the women's department.

The men then fled the scene in a gray Honda. Police say the suspects didn't appear to be carrying weapons.

In this News 8 video report, Angelique Lizarde has more on how police don't think this is the first time the thieves have hit.
