Target remodels Angier Elementary School library

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Angier Elementary School in Serra Mesa has a newly remodeled library, all thanks to Target Stores.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday for the new library on campus. The Angier Elementary School library is the 150th completed since the Target School Library Makeover Program was created in 2007.

"We've renovated the library with carpet, paint, shelves and 2,000 new books, in addition to seven books for each of the students and their siblings," Target Escondido store team leader Kim Shootman said.

In addition to the new facelift, the Angier Elementary library now has new iPads to introduce students to technology that can help them with their studies.
