SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two juveniles were in custody Monday in connection with an apparent gang-related stabbing that occurred during a party in San Diego's Swan Canyon neighborhood, police said.
Officers received a report of a violent disturbance in the 2700 block of Highland Ave. at about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Sgt. Dan Albright.
Once there, officers found a juvenile male stabbed in both his shoulders and an ear, the sergeant said in a statement.
Medics took the youth to Scripps Mercy Hospital. He was expected to survive, Albright said.
Two other juveniles were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, he said. Their names were withheld because of their ages.
"At this time, the crime may be gang-related and gang detectives are investigating," Albright said.
