SAN DIEGO ( CBS 8) - A fire that could be seen for miles sent crews rushing to Mission Valley early Monday.
San Diego Fire says around 12:15 a.m. they were called out to the parking lot of the Town and Country Hotel, after a semi trailer went up in flames right next to a Christmas display.
Flames were shooting 50' into the air when the first fire trucks arrived. It took crews at least 15 minutes before they could get the biggest portion of the fire knocked down.
Fire crews say the trailer was full of the owners wife's Christmas decorations.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
