About 60 shelter dogs and cats that were displaced by Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast were being cared for at a Rancho Santa Fe animal center Monday.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Animals rescued from Hurricane Sandy are up for adoption starting Wednesday.

On Saturday, about 60 shelter dogs and cats were flown to Southern California in hopes of a second chance.
