Local Marie Callender's serves up 6,000 pies

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Thanksgiving means time off work for a lot of people, but it's the busiest time of the year for employees at Marie Callender's.

The restaurant in Carmel Mountain estimates they'll sell 6,000 pies this Thanksgiving. Four-hundred of those are pumpkin.

Workers are also serving up 300 full Thanksgiving meals for people to take home.

The restaurant will also be open Thursday, serving up its regular menu.
