
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two adults and four children were displaced early Friday when their two-story home caught fire in south San Diego's Nestor neighborhood, authorities said.
The non-injury fire at 2957 Chavez Road was reported at 1:23 a.m., according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatcher. Flames were knocked down about 15 minutes later, she said.
The cause was under investigation, and a damage estimate was pending.
The Red Cross was called to assist the family with temporary shelter, the dispatcher said.
