SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Salvation Army once again served up Thanksgiving dinners to San Diegans in need.
The free meals were served at Golden Hall in downtown. More than a thousand people showed up for the feast on Thursday.
Raymond Watts, a retired Marine, was among the crowd. He only has five percent of his sight left, and says he's grateful for the organization, that has helped him deal with his blindness.
Hundreds of people also volunteered to dish out the feast.
Nationwide, nearly 33 million Americans receive help from the Salvation Army every year.
