SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego Gas and Electric is trying one more time to bill its customers for the uninsured costs of the 2007 wildfires.

The utility has appealed to several individual state utilities commissioners in meetings this month.

The company's proposal would raise rates on customers to recoup almost $370 million.

An investigation found the wildfires were started in large part by SDG&E power lines.

County Supervisor Dianne Jacob has urged the California Public Utilities Commission to reject SDG&E's proposal.

The PUC is scheduled to vote on the issue Thursday, but the vote may be delayed.
