Zodiac boat washes ashore on Pescadero Beach

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Lifeguards in Ocean Beach are investigating after a boat washed up on Pescadero Beach.

Officials don't know where the 12-foot inflatable boat came from, but they're exploring all possibilities, including whether it could point to illegal activity offshore.

Both customs and border patrol officers were taking part in the investigation.

There was no word on what the boat was being used for.
