VISTA (CNS) - A suspected drunken driver rolled his SUV and struck several trees along a Vista street, seriously injuring his passenger, a sheriff's deputy said Saturday.
The driver of a Toyota RAV-4 lost control while traveling at a high speed on Thibodo Road near the intersection with Mar Vista Drive shortly before midnight, sheriff's Deputy Kenneth Werner said.
The passenger sustained serious injuries and both the driver and passenger were taken to Palomar Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of their injuries, Werner said.
Werner said alcohol consumption was suspected to have been a factor in the crash.
