SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The wife of the tow truck driver killed in a train accident in Cardiff on Saturday is remembering her husband.

Mayra Riddle spoke to News 8, but did not want to appear on camera. She told us her husband Shaun was the best man in the world and was dedicated to her and their baby daughter. She says Shaun would come home every night in time to feed their daughter and get her ready for bed.

Shaun's friends are also remembering him as a great man who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

"He taught me how to work hard and take care of my family the way I'm supposed to take care of a family, so he taught me how to be a man," friend Jonnie Brayall said.

"He was my best friend. He definitely changed my life for sure and I'm never going to forget him. He's always going to be in my heart forever," friend Russell Frioli said.

Shaun was hit and killed by an Amtrak train while trying to hook a vehicle stalled on the train tracks. The accident is still under investigation.
