Changes to CBS 8 programming due to Chargers game blackout

Posted: Updated:

Due to the San Diego Charger local blackout, NFL regulations prohibits KFMB-TV from airing the CBS doubleheader this Sunday, December 16th. CBS 8 will broadcast the Pittsburgh vs Dallas game at 1pm. CBS 8 is prohibited from airing the Denver vs Baltimore game at 10am. Be aware that many cable and satellite programming guides may not show this update due to the late notice of this programming change.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Chargers game this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers will be blacked out, it was reported Thursday on the Chargers website.

Nearly 11,000 tickets are still available and NFL policy requires all games to be sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff, otherwise the game will be blacked out in the local market.

The Chargers-Panthers game may be the last chance to attend a 2012 home game. The Chargers' final home game of the season versus the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Dec. 30 has only Club seats and scattered single general tickets still available, according to a statement posted on the Chargers website.

The Bolts defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 34-24 win on Sunday, December 9, after a string of losses.
