SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - One of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School was born in San Diego and lived in Mira Mesa until she was four.
Avielle Rose Richman moved with her mom and dad to Newtown last year and graduated from kindergarten at Sandy Hook Elementary this past summer.
Her father, Jeremy Richman, kept a family blog, called Avielle's adventures, where he shared photos and highlights of their life in Newtown.
Just eight weeks ago, the family celebrated Avielle's sixth birthday with a party at a stable where she also took riding lessons.
A private memorial service is planned. Avielle's family was also planning to start a memorial fund.
