Tony Hawk skateboards with helmetless five-year-old daughter

CARLSBAD (CBS 8) - Tony Hawk is taking some heat from parents, after posting a picture of his daughter on a skateboard with him. In the picture, she wasn't wearing a helmet.

In the picture posted to his Instagram account, Hawk is holding the hands of his five-year-old daughter Kadence. She's cheesing for the camera as they ride through the skatepark in the backyard of his Carlsbad home.

Hawk rebuffed the public criticism saying: "It's more likely that you will fall while walking on the sidewalk than I will while skating with my daughter."
