ENCINITAS (CBS 8) - A middle school student from Encinitas has become an Instagram sensation and turned her newfound fame into a national television commercial.

Claire Jantzen is a student at Oak Crest Middle School. She's only 13, and she's already getting paid for her photography.

Best Buy is airing the holiday commercial nationwide, which as boosted Claire's followers on Instagram from 4,000 to over 25,000.

"It's amazing, I'm really grateful to have this experience. Not a lot of kids my age can say they've been in a commercial, you know, when they were 13. So, it's a great experience and it was really fun. It was cool to see how commercials are really made," Claire said.

Claire was paid for the Best Buy commercial, and says she's saving that money to pay for her future education.
